Your membership allows us to cover our basic operating expenses. The remainder goes to State and National PTA to support programs and legislation affecting all children in our state and nation. Your membership allows you voting privileges at our meetings and allows you to help support all of the enrichment programs the Hollister PTA brings to our school.
Our annual membership drive runs through the month of September but membership is accepted throughout the year. Membership forms are located in the front office. You are also welcome to contact our Membership Chair, Julie Mickelberry through ParentSquare.
Soar to New Heights
As a California Distinguished School, Hollister School offers our children a challenging academic curriculum. In addition, children experience enrichment classes in Art, Computer Technology, Engineering, Music, Programming,&Robotics. The Hollister PTA also funds the following: Back to School Coffee, Back to School BBQ, Carnival, Cultural Arts Assemblies, education for parents, instructional materials for classrooms, Literacy Programs, new playground equipment, new library books, Science Night, transportation for field trips and much more…
Soar to New Heights is a direct fundraising campaign sponsored by the PTA to raise monies to support these wonderful enrichment classes & programs and expand our children’s education.
Although the Goleta School District provides partial financial support for these enrichment classes, the PTA provides a significant portion needed to ensure the continuation of these programs. In addition to the Soar to New Heights campaign, the PTA sponsors several fundraisers & events throughout the school year, which include: Jog-a-Thon, Annual Gala, Box Tops collections, Dining- out & Shopping fundraisers and more. Together, all of these efforts provide the funding which is needed to continue these programs.
We hope each family will donate to the Soar to New Heights campaign. Its success is essential to keep these quality enrichment opportunities at Hollister School and requires a commitment on behalf of our families. A donation in any amount is appreciated and needed. Donations are tax-deductible and your employer may offer a matching contribution at your request.
