Ruthie Manzo

This is my 8th year teaching at El Camino. I moved to Santa Barbara to attend Westmont College, and I am thankful every day that I get to call this beautiful place my home. I recently graduated with my Masters Degree in Reading Instruction from Grand Canyon University and look forward to putting my new knowledge to work. I spend my free time camping with my family, playing soccer, and soaking up every minute with my rambunctious toddler and new baby girl!

Este es mi octavo año enseñando en El Camino. Me mudé a Santa Bárbara para asistir a Westmont College, y estoy agradecida cada día de poder llamar a este hermoso lugar mi hogar. Recientemente me gradué con mi maestría en Instrucción de Lectura de la Universidad Grand Canyon y espero poner en práctica mis nuevos conocimientos. Paso mi tiempo libre acampando con mi familia, jugando al fútbol y disfrutando de cada minuto con mi revoltoso hijo y mi nueva bebe niña.

I have lived in California my entire life. I came to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB, earning my Bachelor's in Mathematics and attaining a Master's Degree in Education. I later added a Child Development certificate through Santa Barbara City College. I have taught in the Santa Barbara and Goleta School Districts for over 20 years, taking a break in the middle to raise my family. I am happy to call El Camino my home and truly cherish working with our children.

He vivido en California toda mi vida. Vine a Santa Bárbara para asistir a la UCSB, obteniendo mi licenciatura en Matemáticas y logrando una maestría en Educación. Más tarde añadí un certificado de Desarrollo Infantil a través de Santa Barbara City College. He enseñado en los Distritos Escolares de Santa Bárbara y Goleta por más de 20 años, tomando un descanso en el medio para criar a mi familia. Estoy feliz de llamar a El Camino mi hogar y realmente aprecio trabajar con nuestros niños.
