Learning Center

Graciela Romero

I discovered my passion for working in education in 2010 when I was a student at UCSB and began working for the program America Reads/America Counts. I was placed at Adelante Charter School and knew that I wanted to work in the field of bilingual education. I graduated from UCSB as an English and French double major in 2014, and later graduated from UCSB's Teacher Education Program with my Multiple Subject Credential and Masters degree in 2016. Since then, I have taught 5th, 3rd, 1st DLI and now I am proud to be supporting El Camino's Dual Language Immersion program as the DLI Learning Center Teacher.

I have lived in Santa Barbara since 1997 and have been a part of the El Camino community since 2006. I have two children who are El Camino alumns. I love working and living in the same neighborhood so you're likely to see me at Vons or other local businesses. I enjoy reading and doing puzzles and spending time with my family.

Me encanta trabajar y vivir en el mismo barrio, así que es probable que me veas en Vons u otros negocios locales. Me gusta leer y hacer rompecabezas y pasar tiempo con mi familia.
