Our board meetings are conducted both in person in the Jack Kramer Administration Center located at 401 N. Fairview Avenue, Goleta, or online via Zoom Audio.

Translation Procedure:

  • If you will attend the in-person meeting and require translation, you must arrive promptly by 6:15 PM for translation setup.
  • To set up translation in any language, log in to the meeting. Once the meeting starts, click on the "More" button (...) in the Zoom control bar. Click on the "Captions" button. Choose the language of your choice. 

Public Comment Procedure:

Per Board ByLaws: Individual speakers are generally allowed three minutes to address the Board on each agenda or non-agenda item. The time may be reduced by the Board president, depending on the number of speakers on any given issue. Speakers should be prepared to adapt their comments accordingly. When a speaker wishes to comment on multiple items, his/her time may be limited so as not to interfere with the timely completion of the Board’s business.

  • Virtual public comments will be accepted via the Public Comment Request Form [HERE] up until 4:00 PM the day of the board meeting 
  • For in-person public comments, a public comment request card must be filled out between 6:15 - 6:30 PM pm in the Board Room
  • Public comments on closed session agenda items only must be made in person at 5:00 PM at the District Office in Room 8
  • For special board meetings, virtual public comment request forms [HERE] will be accepted until 2:00 PM the day of the special board meeting, unless the meeting is in-person only, then public comment request cards will be received in-person only.  Please see the agenda for more details.

    Upon request by a student's parent/guardian, or by the student if age 18 or older, the minutes shall not include the student's or parent/guardian's address, telephone number, date of birth, or email address, or the student's name or other directory information as defined in Education Code 49061. The request to exclude such information shall be made in writing to the secretary or clerk of the Board. (Education Code 49073.2)
